Blackeyed

Full title is Blackeyed From The Telescope. Written in about 5 minutes, recorded in 40. For my daughter.

Lyrics:

I'm nothing without you, I'm a scene
Just another heart in the daydream scheme
When I feel your love
It brings me close to tears
When I feel your heart in mine

I'm floating on the boundaries of your life
Nothing else makes me feel more alive
And I know it's tough
You might even say it's rough
And nothing can keep me from your side

And I'll be there when you cry
Just for you
I'll be there 'til I die

I'm blackeyed from trying to make ends meet
And it'd be fair to say I haven't slept in weeks
But you're there like a star
So bright and yet so far
But you know I'm scratching for the sky

And I'll be there when you cry
Just for you
I'll be chasing angels of dust through this life so cruel
I'll try to keep my heart above water
Cause drownings not an option I'd choose
So come what may and whatever forever
Just for you.....

I know, She Knows

The chords for this song were apparently knockin around my singers head for about 20 years he says! Its a little foray into the world of "pretty chords". he he!

We decided not to take the song too seriously since we werent really planning on doing much with it other than playing around with those pretty chords and trying to match them up. In the end we noticed quite a good crowd reaction to the song whenever we played it live that we recorded it in the same session as Hammer (see my other songs here for hammer)

Its a happy blues, not in the real vein of the blues eh?hence the not taking it too seriously feeling!
Anyway, i hope you enjoy.
Thanks to Mick for engineering,J for vocals,Pat Mul for Double Bass.

Shaking the mouse trap

recorded by The Twaxes - Jack Cat (guitar vocals) Django (guitar) Nina (cello)

Jokin’ with the rainbow - in the seventh moon nite
jokin’ with sunglasses – to hide flash of dark sweet eyes
joking with words – fired through the air
exchanging crazy shelters – to protect each one’s lies
show me the street - show me the street of the humble
make me blonde or black – just take me out of this jungle
‘cause I’m born again - (this) is not my face (this) is not me
this will be my curse – in the seventh’s (STOP) nite dream

The wonderful chick - took the weird man’s gush
out a kinky dead track – playin’ three fingers stuff
he managed wild courses – building up hot lips
charming satisfaction – down a dark ugly street
she dropped worried glances – over rusty goods wagons
the weird man went crazy – as a jammed weapon
‘twas an embassy kiss - ‘twas a reckless drive
‘twas the damned curse – of the seventh (STOP) damned nite

You can play 1, 2, 3 - but 4 is too much
walkin’ round the corner - of your soul’s sweet touch
you can ask more and more – you can fly on my roof
even if I’m burnin’ hot – I’m not foolin’ you
organizing funny slams – turn out confused and stuck
babe it’s hard it’s hard to accept – being neglected and outcast
three skylarks moanin’ – in leathered leaden sky
It’s the awful damned sunrise – of the seventh damned nite

Cold 2

Here is a slightly edited version of Cold. We did this song previously and made some small changes.

Beneath these crashing waves

I get the gist of things

.....and I hope and pray.

Oh, what if tomorrow brings......

.....in the impending sense that all is not well,

......exactly what, I can't tell...no I can't tell

Is this the same breeze that blew through your golden hair
with perfume scent of springtime air?

Laura , please don't stop whispering to me!

Back the jib and reef the main........
.......don't forget you knew my name.

Laura please.....don't stop whispering.

.......and when the sails begin to tear
and when the sails begin to tear,
and the sails begin to tear.

Laura please don't stop whispering to me

My dearest Laura,
there are a thousand words upon my tongue
that I know that will never grace your ear.
My heart aches beyond what I can bear ,and what I fear beyond all other fears is to fade into the deep into a place without your voice. Its so cold.....I am sorry......

......its just so cold.

Trifecta

Every night it’s the same old thing
He’s there before the first bell rings
All night long he plays the dogs
And he says he can beat the odds

Rabbit runs the dog gets burned
Bumped in the corner in the second turn
Throws his tickets on the ground
The bartender buys him one more round

Chorus

We played golf at Papago
You could see the track from the 18th hole
Across the street the credit window
He’d get money than he should owe

Buy a program, figure the stats
He’d say that’s just a matter of math
Throws his tickets on the ground
The bartender buys him one more round

Chorus

S.R.P. turned off his lights
Lost his job and lost his wife
She took the kids and moved to Idaho
He’ll be back to the track again I know
Shouting 1 3 8 dog come ‘on greyhound go

Rise Above! (Fixed)

This one is fixed so that the ending fades instead of cut off quickly.

I sometimes wish that instead of deleting and then re-adding, we could just edit the song itself.

This is pretty much the same as the last, and when I looked, I think everyone who voted seemed to like this one the most. I can explain to you why the beat to this song sounds jitteryish, and that's because that's kind of how I work when trying out a beat for a song. It's suppose to be kind of trippy. And even though it's not a - - - - all the way through, I still think the beat suits it well. I like to be somewhat creative with the beat. It may match it well, it may not, but it's suppose to feel the way it feels. At least I know I could definitely dance to it.

Enjoy, I hope you like it.

Not our style, but check it out.

We have received many "complaints" about the main riff which sounds like "come as you are". Well maybe you haven't thought of that Come as you are is a rip of as well(not that ours is). Listen to Killing Joke's "Eighties", and you'll see what I'm talking about. Killing joke actually accused Nirvana for stealing their riff :I

Train

The road. On the road you always feel calming effect of consistency in motion. The train, the most calming transport, with its monotone squeaking of the wheels. When it runs slow, it brings melancholy to one's state of mine; when it picks up the speed, everything looks on the brighter side.

Through the sounds of this composition, I attempted to convey the mood of a moving train and of a fast road. Imagine a very old steamer with very bright cars attached to it; it is very fast and very happy.

This song is already something finnished. A friend of mine made the arrangement, but the music and the lyrics (this time bulgarian) are mine. And I've sang it, of course:) I'm very sorry about incomprehensible lyrics:( I have to translate them in english...:)

And... Vote please!
