Once & Without You

I'm pretty happy with the way this turned out, except for my vox which aren't my best. I wrote and recorded this in one day (today, actually), except for the lyrics themselves which were left over from years ago. The person they refer to hasn't even been a part of my life in well over five years, haha. But I'm fairly pleased with how this turned out. Far from perfect, though.

once I was man
who knew what he wanted
once I knew a man
who'd never lie to you
why did you tell him to go?
to make him leave you alone
where did the flowers go this bloody spring

well I guess time has gone
woah, I wish it hadn't
but here we are
nevertheless
why did force me to drown
why did you keep me from reaching the ground
when will the time come
when I can say
this is our day
why can't this be our day

(inaudible whispering)

"I think that maybe you should look inside of yourself for answers
because there's nothing I can say or do that will make you change your mind
you can go if you want to
or if you feel like you need to
but don't expect me to be here when you get back"

why did you crush all my life
take me apart and put me aside
why oh why oh why?

my life's an open book full of words you never read
survey always says that I'd be better off alone
without you
without you.

Godhead

Hi everybody,

I spent a lot of time on BandAMP about a year ago, and I have to say, it was always entertaining and often very helpful. Since then I've been working on a full album of songs, and I'm trying to actually sell my music (now there's a thought...). So, I hope I'm not breaking any rules if I ask you to visit my website:
http://www.tehuti.net/music.html

This song, Godhead, is the last song on the album. You can download it for free on the site, or put it in your favorites here, of course.

And by the way, in case you're still looking for a nice Valentine's surprise for your lover or secret crush, send them this link (also totally free):
http://www.tehuti.net/valentine.html

And lyrics to this and all other seven songs are here:
http://www.tehuti.net/misc.html

Cheers,
the-artist-formerly-known-as-NotTheBeatles, or
the-artist-formerly-not-known-as-The Beatles, or
the-artist-now-known-as-Tehuti, or
(etc)

This is the first song that my band The Kunadiuns made, and there are no lyrics, but I think it is kind of catchy. We made the recording sound old style for a purpose. The purpose of hope.
Me and my cousin made this when we were 12, so tell me what you think. (I am 14 now.)

Folk meets Motown, they have a kid that is depressed but catchy. Put your dancing shoes on.

NOTE: Apparently this song is not Motown or Folk, listen with caution.

Also, I'm getting a lot of stuff about crappy drums and horns, which I totally agree with, but to explain, I recorded this in my room with a MacBook using only an accoustic guitar and the mic inside the computer.
